The trees here in Chicago are just beginning to change. Here is a Hornbeam I've been working on. I've got a little forest of them and I'm hoping they'll turn next. The summer here was much more wet than past summers so Im hoping the displays of the local trees will be good. Inspired by past displays I've devoted a lot more time to developing decidous trees so that there is a lot of color in my collection. Looks like it's paying off! Hope you enjoy this picture. The colors are actually better in real time.
Regards,
Scott Clark

Very nice bonsai Scott.
I look forward to the fall colours coming within the next month here in Denmark. It is one of the best times of the year I think, regarding bonsai.
I enjoy the deciduous very much in spring and during fall. I know it is more correct to say I like the traditional winter display with the naked branches showing the beauty of the fine ramification, but I am a little more moved by the fresh new leaves in spring and the fall colours of maples i.e.

Wow - I love the color you've got on that hornbeam. Very nice.
Best regards,

Thanks for your comments and I'm glad you like the picture. I'm not very good w/ a camera and computer so the colors in the pic are not actually not as good as the real thing - but isn't that always the case.
Regards,
Scott
