Pines beckoned unusually this morning! ;)

Is there such a thing as a black bonsai pot? [I am thinking of the look of manganese rich clay of some traditional European pottery and black Raku] At least in a picture, such cinder color appears to catch the humor of the tree [wouldn't know how to put it properly].

I am curious to hear what is your impression of the pine, if I may...

Yes the pot is not right, the tree is very manly and the pot very femenine.
Dont know about black though, earth colors would suite the tree very good.

For know, I have to find the right pot, it hase to be a quality pot Japanese or European, the tree arrives in my garden at the end of the month, repotting is for next year i geuss, so I have whole winter to find a good pot.

Clearly, not an unpleasant dilemma to own.

I think I am getting the drift [HOC] why you and Morten Albeck propose these deeper earth colors. Back from Marginea, I tend to see black earthenware everywhere.
