Never heard this expression before, but I like it.
Mike, stop coining new categories for the bonsai world. First, "sumo bonsai" and now "agricultural...I mean, horticultural arts". :)
(I guess, I will call my grape bonsai "viticultural art" and exhibit it in the vine section..I mean, wine section of the store)

Attila, I can't be given credit for the term "horticultural arts".

Following the descriptions of "horticultural arts" quickly led me to "ornamental gardening".
So, we are back to gardening. One just can't get rid of this term, gardening. People seem to love it.

Attila, "gardening" is not a perjorative, and bonsai people shouldn't look upon it as such.
