This is an outstanding gallery! I'd love to know a bit more about how these drawings were produced --- Are they ink on silk? Are the drawn with pen or with a brush?
I like these images very much because they convey the sense of being real pictures of real trees. Rather than allowing the imagination to go fanciful, drawing wild jin or exagerating the taper, these appear to be real trees drawn in their every detail, flaws and all, and this makes me appreciate them very much as real trees. This reveals a far deeper talent then simply drawing a fanciful bonsai in a pot.
Marvellous work. I'd be proud to have one hanging on my wall.
Best regards,
Carl

Carl,
They are black ink pen on fine paper (type unknown). Theses images are not from the originals, they have all been given away by Bob. I was lucky enough to get one.
