What a sight! I have often visited this gallery and the trees seems to convey a message to me. It's a treat for the eyes (not all, few of them are very average and rather clashes with the other excellent ones).

My top favouritie is No. 2.........simply awesome, followed by 1, 4, 10, 27, 34 etc, etc.......

Thanks Walter for sharing your work with us. There is lot to be learned from your work.
Regards,
Shaukat

If I would own only one of Walter's trees this would be it...

Acer palmatum, Japanese maple
85 cm high
Pot by Derek Aspinall

To my novice eyes it is simply stunning.
edited: to remove the photograph of this tree. After reading the Gallery forum guidelines I realize I do not have permission to post a photograph of Walter's tree.
Walter I apologize to you and this forum for this mistake. Sorry.

Boring?
This gallery as well as the many others here have inspired many people over the last few years. Yours was one of the first galleries AoB featured and remains one of the most popular to this day.

AoB galleries have always been state of the art, taking a look at yours here for example, will show some pretty amazing features, such as how clicking on a picture zooms it up and above the background, similar to the new gallery you linked to above. We have featured this aspect for over a year, before such visual effects were even heard of by many.

However, I do like the way a vast amount of photos can be displayed in a small space, not to mention the decreased loading time, which may be a concern for those with slower connections.

Hi Walter,

Thanks for updating the link.............although I couldn't browse through the link because due to some server problem, my internet is horribly slow tonight. Will try again later.
