100 marks for damage control Will.

With that episode becoming a thing of the past, let's all enjoy the rest of the competition.

I am surprised that we haven't heard from Canada, China, or Japan yet, but we still have 6 weeks left before the deadline is reached.

I'm a little confused with the dead lines that you have mentioned. you say that we have 6 weeks left?? it is the 30th of June isn't it?

on a different note

You can expect a new country to enter as well. Namely Sri Lanka!!

There are a few people preparing some trees for the cause!!

Good catch, thank you! The deadline is indeed midnight June 30, 2008, which means we have under two weeks before the contest ends.

I am excited to hear that we will see bonsai from Sri Lanka, this will be inspirational and educational for all!

I think it's weird there are no entries from France. Such a big country, with lots of bonsai clubs...

Maybe they are just not aware of this event?

Hans

France, China, Japan, Canada, Germany.....

Could be they are unaware, maybe they are scared? ;)

What really amazes me is that we have more companion entries than any other category and that the display and landscape categories have the least.

4 days left until the deadline is reached and to date we have 179 entries from 21 countries which include:

Austria
Belgium
Brazil
Croatia
Denmark
Germany
Great Britain
India
Indonesia
Italy
Turkey
Mexico
Netherlands
Puerto Rico
Portugal
Romania
Spain
Taiwan
UK
USA
Venezuela

There are 195 countires in the world, which mean his contest so far represents 11% of the world, certainly the largest sampling of bonsai ever in a on-line contest and quite possibly in any contest, show, or event ever.

I am quite disappointed that China and Japan are not represented so far.

Canada, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, and Chile just joined the countries participating in this contest!

With less than 12 hours left, we have 205 entries posted, I currently have 17 recieved entries I still need to post, making for a total so far of 222 entries, just 2 short of our own record of 224 entries.

It looks like this contest will beat that record, which is also the record for any on-line bonsai contest, anywhere!

What a contest!
