Had this little Tx. native for about eight years now and I finally found a pot that I like for it.

Thomas,
This display is excellent! It really works for me. Nice stone, nice tree (I've always liked that simple, not-so-conventional ash), and very nice communication between the two. This is the best overall display that you've posted here or anywhere else, in my opinion.
Best wishes,
Carl

It is interesting to me that you've said (Thomas, that is) that finally you've found a fitting pot. I would have never chosen that one.
The pot bothers me because it dwarfs the tree. Since the tree has a thin trunk, a shallow pot would create a sense of wide space around it, and the illusion of distance between the tree and the viewer. This would enhance the tree's height, although in this case we are not talking about a large tree even in the symbolic sense.
However, I like the interplay between the tree and the stone.
