Post subject:  Bunjin Japanese Black Pine

The attached image is a Japanese Black Pine I've owned for more than 20 years. Over the years it's slowly been turned into bunjin, which may be my favorite style.
Years ago, at a GSBF convention, the great master Kunio Kobayashi was the headliner. During his demonstration, the audience was asking questions through the interpreter.
A member of the audience asked Kobayashi what is his favorite style. After a little thought he replied: "Bunjin, but it's the most difficult to get right".
AMEN to that. I hope I'm on my was to getting this pine "right".

Hi Mike

I'm no expert on the subject but thought i'll give my comments nevertherless...

I think you have a beautiful tree. However, the apex is a little too cluttered for my liking. would prefer if there were more clean lines were the apex does not cover the trunk line.

hope that makes sence.
